The association aims to help promote with the french makers, European and foreign development of new technologies of information and communication as a factor in the development of overseas departments as 9 goals mentioned follows:

1: To expand access to and use of broadband to achieve the national goal of full coverage of the population. Promote the development of Very High Speed.

2: To develop Telework and assist businesses in their business.

3: To promote the use of digital technology by the Very Small Businesses.

4 : Improving the training of young people in ICT and vocational training.

5 : To extend the computer at the school.

6 : To create a convention such as "Small Business Act with major national companies and local communities.

L'A.P.T.I.C.O.M a pour objet de contribuer à promouvoir auprès des décideurs publics français, européens ou étrangers le développement des nouvelles technologies de l'Information et de la communication comme facteur de développement des départements d'outre-mer selon les 9 objectifs suivants mentionnés ci-après :

1er objectif : Généraliser l'accès et l'usage du Haut Débit afin d'atteindre l'objectif national de couverture totale de la population. Favoriser le développement du Très Haut Débit.

the Haitian Association for the Development of ICT (Ahtic) intends to become a reference in the field by promoting sustainable development. It wants to strengthen its action. Two goals are pursued through the show: the industry and the general public on the importance of the theme "Sustainable development is linked to energy and the environment, strengthen the capacity of enterprises to meet the current requirements related global to the competitiveness and ICT sectors and energy. Stéphane Bruno, vice president of the Athic, for its part, has stressed the importance of the exchange point, which is an interconnection of IP networks intended primarily to be exchanged between ISPs in Haiti. "It allows connections to take a shortcut instead of taking the international circuits. Haiti: Unleashing the channels

Four ISPs are interconnected local, releasing the information in Haiti. ACN, Multilink, Access Haïti et Hainet se sont portés volontaires au projet de l'Association haïtienne pour le développement des technologies de l'information et de la communication (AHTIC) qui, désormais, rend possible, à partir de Boutilliers, un échange local du trafic.

Haitian Association for ICT development

AHTIC was established in April 2006 and officially launched in May 2006, after many consultations and meetings with business and professionals in the field of ICT. The association is composed of entrepreneurs (private, public or mixed) and professionals dedicated to ICT. The mission of the AHTIC is to promote and integrate ICT 1) in institutions to make them more competitive and more prone to innovation and 2) in the daily lives of people to improve their quality of life. The AHTIC to 8 axes of intervention:

1. Expansion of membership 2. Funding / resources 3. Institutional strengthening and capacity 4. Consciousness and awareness 5. Advocacy 6. Training and certification 7. Council and Business Development 8. Opening regional and international

Since its inception in 2006, AHTIC has taken a number of initiatives:

Organization of the first meeting to promote civic Haiti under CARISNET 1
Co-organization of the Summit on the Information Society at local and traditional Haiti in 2007
Promotion, development and drafting of policy papers and position in the telecommunications industry in the debate for the distribution of frequencies WIMAX and reform of telecommunications legislation

The AHTIC has recently developed a new strategic plan over the next three years following the 8 areas of intervention and will open for the accession of associate members including mostly large technology users such as banks, cafes, the students.
